My name is Marshall. I'm a regular husband and girl dad, and I'm new to Crozet. I have a day job at UVA, and this is a side business that brings me joy and also opportunities to serve.
I've been doing handy work for 25 years. I've handled just about every minor household issue you can think of. Doorknobs and fixtures. Drywall. Hanging pictures. Building shelves. Painting. Patching and smoothing walls. Furniture assembly. I've worked in rental turnover, managed property upkeep, and helped more than a few neighbors with that one job they needed done last weekend. I'm also an experienced project manager for folks looking to hire and keep taps on more complex projects requiring licensed contractors (drainage, plumbing, electrical, minor home improvement).
I set aside at least four hours every month to help neighbors who can't afford a regular handyman. If you're a senior, single parent, differently abled, or otherwise need a bit of help from a neighbor with a drill, I'd be glad to speak with you and see if I can help.
The one key thing to know is I'll never accept work I can't do, because I guarantee all the work I do take on. Key examples are electrical work and plumbing - these require licensed professionals for good reason: safety matters. When those jobs come up, I can help you find the right contractor.
